Dr. Walker earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Illinois-Chicago at Rockford. He completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of California San Francisco-Fresno and his sports medicine fellowship at Houston Methodist.

Sports injuries can result from accidents in the field, inadequate training, improper use of protective devices, or insufficient stretching or warm-up exercises.
